About Kate

Kate Joubert is a young Commonwealth authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant registered on the Attorney General’s list of official Marriage Celebrants. She is happily married to Olympic sprinter Michael Joubert (400 metres and 4×400 metres). She is an experienced public speaker and presenter, a member of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy, Australian Marriage Celebrants Association, Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants and Toastmasters International.

Prior to becoming a Marriage Celebrant Kate was a ballerina with the Australian Ballet and Sydney Dance Company, as well as a dance lecturer at the University of New South Wales.

During her career as a dancer she performed and travelled extensively throughout Australia, United States of America, Europe and Asia. During this time Kate developed skills in relating to people from all walks of life. She understands and respects the etiquette of different cultures and brings this to her Celebrant business.

Kate has always been captivated by ritual, ceremony and different cultures. It was not until she became married herself that she found the process of researching and writing her own wedding ceremony fascinating. It was then that she realised she could turn her life long interest into a vocation.

Kate is one of the youngest Civil Marriage Celebrants in New South Wales and is happily married. She brings a fresh, current approach to her ceremonies and business.

Her primary goal is to create wedding ceremonies that reflect you as a couple – your love, your beliefs, your values, your way.

Kate is articulate, experienced and guarantees excellence for all her services. She prides herself on superior customer service, attention to detail and an elegant delivery.
